When not on stage or in the spotlight, Sylvara can be found honing her skills with a katana and sword, seeking balance between her creative and martial sides.

HistorySylvara was orphaned at a young age and has no memory of her original family or origins. She was found wandering aimlessly in a daze after the Calamity, no older than 10 years of age and to this day has no idea how she ended up where she was. With no memory of her past, and nothing to reference, even her age is just an approximate guess. A kind Elezen soldier took her in and with his wife raised her until the age of 16.Sylvara fortunately, wasn't alone in her unique and strange situation, she was found with her twin sister, Lynarra, however she never speaks of her, and questioning her about it is the surest way to alienate her in an instant. Anyone looking for details around who her sister was or what happened to her will find themselves running into the Immortal Flames, and their disapproval again and again. Redacted field reports, bold faced denials, and outright lies are the only thing one is likely to find. Whatever happened to her, it seems a very large conspiracy exists to cover it up, with Sylvara at the middle of it. The only detail known surrounding her is that she too shared the amnesia of their origins. It would take a great deal to get her to open up on the subject, however rumor has it Misaki Nakamura, her friend and employee knows the story and in fact was somehow involved with it.Sylvara still has a healthy relationship with her parents and loves them dearly, but when she turned 16 she had enough of the constant racism and prejudice she recieved from her Elezen peers in school. So she left Gridania to find her own kind, and eventually joined up with a small group of female Tribal Keepers living in the Shroud.There she learned a great deal about her people, how to hunt, and most importantly to her; who she really is inside. It was during her training that she started to realize she was experiencing romantic feelings for some of the other women of the tribe. Though acceptance was never a problem from her fellow Keepers, she had a lot of trouble accepting herself. Still, after a time she came to not only realize but accept those feelings as a part of her. Owing in no small part to the positive encouragement, and understanding of her fellow tribeswoman.Eventually her tribe fell apart when the leader was captured and charged with poaching. Unbeknownst to the rest of them, Liandrea had been poaching secretly to help support the tribe and when she was carted off by the Wood Wailers, the tribe dissolved and Sylvara returned home to Gridania.This has lead to a unique feature of the Miqo'te: She is bi-accented. Depending on her mood or who she's speaking to she may either speak with a distinctly Gridianian Elezen accent, or a more gruff Shroud Miqo'te accent.Recent
Sylvara often can be found travelling across the width and breadth of Etheirys, running the usual contracts for Eorzea Security. Some also claim that she's been seen meeting shadowy figures, and disappearing into dark backrooms with all manner of unsavory types.
